With K-Cup® pods, you can brew 4–12 oz cups. With the reusable filter cup, you can brew up to 20 oz for a carafe-style serving.
Medium-grind coffee is recommended. Espresso-fine grinds should not be used because they can clog the filter and disrupt brewing.
A typical brew cycle takes about 2½ minutes, depending on brew size and strength settings.
The Bold setting extends the brew cycle by about 35 seconds, producing a stronger, more intense cup of coffee.
Yes. Setting the Control Knob to Boil heats water in the carafe to boiling temperature for tea, cocoa, or instant meals.
Wash the carafe, filter cup holder plate, and K-Cup® adapter with warm, soapy water. Never submerge the control lid or power base.
If the holder plate isn’t locked in place, the brewer won’t operate correctly. Locking ensures proper water flow and capsule alignment.
At least 4 oz of water must be in the carafe. Brewing with less water can trigger the safety shut-off or cause permanent damage.
A purple Brew button means the safety shut-off activated due to overheating—usually from brewing without water. Let the unit cool for up to 30 minutes before using again.
Use the Clean setting to flush the system after use. Hand-wash removable parts and wipe the control lid and base with a damp cloth. Weekly water-only Strong brews help prevent residue buildup.
Never brew without water, never open the lid during brewing, never touch the glass carafe immediately after use, and never submerge the control lid or base—these actions can cause injury, damage, or void the warranty.
